Stage Three : Development of an awareness of the significant differences in the host culture's interpretation of behavior.
Stage Four : Recognition and acceptance of deep cultural differences. Respect for alternative beliefs and values.
Many personal and environmental factors affect the difficulty and stress level that will be felt by the expatriate as well as the rate at which personal developments can be made.
